The Free Motion Quilting Project: Question Thursday #15

The Free Motion Quilting Project: Question Thursday #15
I just watched a video in which the FMQ was done without a presser foot.  The fabric bounces a little but there is no obstruction of the fabric or pattern behind.  Also, "Schmetz" has a new needle with a spring that takes the place of our FMQ foot.  I'm ordering some to see how they work.  It's worth a try being able to see behind the needle is a plus when doing an intricate pattern or doing applique.

My Life in color

I found out today that we can use regular "Crayola Crayons" you use them on the fabric it may take numerous layers depending on the intensity of color you want.  After applying each layer use unused news paper over the crayon  then iron to remove the wax.  Throw the paper away, if used again it will distort your drawing.
